The MARLEY Magazine Monthly Review - September 2026

September was a month of long light and loosening grip. The heat is still in the sand and still in the skin, but everywhere in the work there is the sense of something about to be given up — a last afternoon, a last swim, a final warmth clinging to the coast before autumn comes and takes it away.

Most of it happened outdoors. In Ardura, Victoria Wanda stands in a clearing of a misted Polish forest for Anastasia Mihaylova, her silhouette answering the lines of the old trees. September Undone finds Krista in the Dutch dunes under Jelle Stokhof's camera, the sea cool but not yet cold — not a goodbye, merely an exhale. After the Storm is the rougher sibling: Tezz barefoot on wet asphalt with her surfboard under her arm, fog over the dunes, Stefan Rappo close enough that you can almost hear her breathe. And in Wild Horses, Pauline Moulettes walks into the herd in the golden French afternoon for Sébastien Cottereau, untamed and entirely at ease.

Indoors the month kept quieter company. En Privado leaves Greta alone beside an Andalusian pool and then under the cold fall of the shower, Sacha Leyendecker's black and white slowing the hours until they barely move. Sensual Minimalism sets Ksenia Gritsenko against concrete and weathered leather for Oolessen, everything superfluous stripped away until only form and breath remain. And Magnetic closes the month in Mykonos, where La Sy Sauvage photographed Emilie Payet and Irina Lozovaya on 35mm film — friends rather than models, and the difference is in every frame.
